Acquisitions & Mergers

After the recent purchase by ITV of Friends Reunited I thought it might be interesting to take a look at who's buying who and what we can expect to come out of these acquisitions. Is this alleviating the competition, or could this be an attempt to gain the edge. Or more likely in some cases to be an attempt to recover a flagging brand.

Great post, I have linked to it in my blog Future Moocher with some further comments. Any ideas on the undisclosed amounts?

You also might want to add a bunch of the UK classifieds sites in property and jobs like findaproperty, primelocation etc - mostly bought up by the old line media companies.
